Judge Robert Hoover Reappoints Jim Bradley and Jim Kiracofe to the Licking Park District’s Board of Park Commissioners

GRANVILLE, OHIO (February 10, 2020) Licking Park District is pleased to announce that Jim Bradley and Jim Kiracofe have been reappointed as board members, each for an additional three-year term, by Judge Robert Hoover. Comprised of five members, the board meets monthly to support the work of the Licking Park District and provide mission-based leadership and strategic governance. Service on Licking Park District’s Board of Park Commissioners is without remuneration.

Jim Bradley has long been dedicated to the parks of Licking County. He began his service as Licking County Park Supervisor for seven years. In 1989, Mr. Bradley was chairman of a Licking County Planning Commission committee to study parks and recreation in the county. Since the formation of the Licking Park District in 1990, he has served 30 years on the Licking Park District’s Board of Park Commissioners. Mr. Bradley has a BS in Geology from Muskingum College, an MS in Geology and a PhD in Mineralogy from The Ohio State University. He taught Geology at OSU-N (Newark) for over 30 years retiring in 2001. He is a past member of the Board of Goodwill Industries, the Licking County Planning Commission, and is a former president and Life Trustee of the Licking County Historical Society.

Jim Kiracofe’s service on the Licking Park District Board of Park Commissioners began in 2015. In 2018, Jim began serving as chairman. Mr. Kiracofe graduated from Ohio State University earning a BS in Animal Science and an MS in Agriculture Economics. He is the owner and operator of a 420-acre grain farm in Washington Township and was employed as Program Administrator for Licking County Soil & Water Conservation District until retirement in 2014. Jim serves on the Hartford Fair’s Natural Resources Area’s Advisory Committee, supports the Licking County River Round Up, is a member of the Licking County Professional Agrarians, and attends Eden Church of Christ. In his spare time, Jim likes to kayak, travel, and make maple syrup. He is married to Lynna Fisher Kiracofe and they have three grown children.
