Licking Park District:  2022 Volunteer of the Year – Bill Fleitz

GRANVILLE, OHIO (March 7, 2023) The Licking Park District’s Volunteer of the Year award recognizes individuals who exhibit enthusiasm for their volunteer service, leadership characteristics for the projects they lead, and willingness to promote volunteerism in others. The Licking Park District proudly names Bill Fleitz our Volunteer of the Year for 2022!

Bill Fleitz began volunteering in 2019 when he contributed his considerable carpentry skills to help build two new gazebos in Infirmary Mound Park’s Paws-2-Play Dog Park. Over three years and four hundred volunteer hours later, Bill has helped to put a new roof and siding on our Taft Reserve restroom, mowed countless miles of Paws-2-Play Dog Park grass, and regularly volunteered for special events, programs, and maintenance projects. Bill is always willing to come in and help when his expertise is needed. You can see Bill’s time and attention to every volunteer assignment; no matter how small the task, every detail is attended to with care. Bill is always courteous to our park patrons and has served as a source of encouragement for fellow volunteers and staff when leading a project. Bill is a pleasure to work with, and we are so fortunate to have Bill go above and beyond in all aspects of volunteering for the Licking Park District. We appreciate all of Bill’s outstanding contributions to the Licking Park District. Congratulations to our 2022 Volunteer of the Year!
