Trails at Infirmary Mound, Lobdell Reserve, and Taft Reserve are Open to horses. Bike Trail: TJ Evans trail is open at W Church Street, but closes again in July for more dam work project. TJ Evans trail will be closed underneath Rt 16 from 6/1 thru 9/1 for bridge replacement. Winter Puzzle Hike and Campfire

Winter is a beautiful time of year to immerse yourself in nature! Just a short drive from downtown Newark and Heath is our largest park, Taft Reserve. Drop in for a self-guided hike through Taft Reserve South, find the activity stations and unscramble a puzzle to win a prize. Warm up at the campfire with hot chocolate and s’mores and stop in to Taft Center for a nature craft. Bring your own hot dogs/buns for lunch, we will provide condiments!
