Trails at Taft Reserve are OPEN to HORSES. Trails at Infirmary Mound Park and Lobdell Reserve are CLOSED to HORSES due to conditions unsuitable for equine traffic. **TJE Trail east of Granville between the cemetery and Rotary Bridge/Raccoon Valley Park due to bank slip; **There will be periodic closures April 22-26, dawn to dusk, on the TJ Evans Bike Trail from Concord Rd (Johnstown) to the cemetery area in Granville east of Main St for hazardous tree removal. Bike Trails: TJ Evans Trail between Newark and Granville: The TJ Evans bike trail will be CLOSED at the new Thornwood Crossing bridge area, Mon-Fri, 7a-5p, until further notice. There will be other, temporary closures intermittently over the following few months, during working hours (7A-5P; M-F). Unfortunately we are cancelling due to the weather forecast of high winds and thunderstorms. The majority of our planned activities would be dangerous in those conditions. Please continue to follow our facebook page, instagram, and website for future events and programs!
Outdoor Adventures returns in 2022! This event kicks off Turn Your Screen Off Week, which is an annual event where children, families, schools and communities are encouraged to turn off screens and “turn on life” for 7 days. So come join the fun. Try your hand at kayaking and canoeing (weather permitting), rock climbing, archery, fishing, crafts, and disc golf. A number of community agencies will be present with information and activities. Then take a stroll on the Wildflower Fairy Trail. All activities free. Plus you can grab lunch from the food trucks: Pitabilities and Poppy’s Roadside Diner!
