**The Panhandle Trail (Dayton Rd to Felumlee Rd) will be CLOSED on MONDAY April 22 for herbicide spraying. **TJE Trail east of Granville between the cemetery and Rotary Bridge/Raccoon Valley Park due to bank slip; **There will be periodic closures April 22-26, dawn to dusk, on the TJ Evans Bike Trail from Concord Rd (Johnstown) to the cemetery area in Granville east of Main St for hazardous tree removal. Trails at Taft Reserve, Infirmary Mound Park and Lobdell Reserve are CLOSED to HORSES due to conditions unsuitable for equine traffic. Bike Trails: TJ Evans Trail between Newark and Granville: The TJ Evans bike trail will be CLOSED at the new Thornwood Crossing bridge area, Mon-Fri, 7a-5p, until further notice. There will be other, temporary closures intermittently over the following few months, during working hours (7A-5P; M-F). Eagle Watch Hike

Did you know at one point in Ohio there were only FOUR breeding bald eagle pairs? A conservation success story, last year there were 824 active nests in Ohio and two of them are along the TJ Evans trail between Granville and Alexandria!
February is the time of year Bald Eagles will begin sitting on nests in out area. Join us as we hike to the Granville eagle nest on the TJ Evans bike trail to see if we can observe any activity! We will have our spotting scopes. Binoculars are recommended if you have them!
The hike is about 2 miles round trip. We will hike in together. Participants can hike back to the parking area individually when they are ready or with the group.
