Trails at Infirmary Mound Park, Taft Reserve and Lobdell Reserve are CLOSED to HORSES due to conditions unsuitable for equine traffic. Bike Trails: *TJE Trail east of Granville between the cemetery and Rotary Bridge/Raccoon Valley Park due to bank slip; *TJ Evans Trail between Newark and Granville: There will be temporary closures intermittently over the next few months, during working hours (7A-5P; M-F). Backyard Conservation: Pocket Prairies

Would you like your yard to benefit native wildlife and pollinators? Have you considered converting a portion of your property to a mini meadow or a larger prairie plot but are not quite sure where to start? This program is for you! Specialists from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Licking Park District will share different strategies for establishing prairie plots of all sizes, provide an overview of the resources and funding available, and discuss the challenges and benefits of creating these vibrant pollinator habitats. As part of the program, participants will compare a small pocket prairie and the large prairies at Infirmary Mound Park and learn about the Licking County Pollinator Pathway.
