Canceled to be rescheduled Backyard Conservation: Gravel Gardens
June 7, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Recently, gravel gardening has begun to get a lot of attention. Have you heard of gravel gardening? In these types of gardens, plants are planted in 4-5 inches of gravel. The result is a vibrant garden that reduces weeding, mulching, the need for irrigation after establishment and mowing. At the same time they can maximize environmental benefits providing habitat for pollinators and conserving water.
In this class we will go over how to create a gravel garden, what Ohio native plants are suitable, and we will visit the gravel garden we created at Infirmary Mound Park last year.
