Trails at Infirmary Mound Park, Lobdell Reserve and Taft Reserve are OPEN to HORSES. Bike Trails: *Monday July 15, work will begin on the TJ Evans bank slip east of Granville. No access will be permitted between Granville cemetery and Fairview Rd during the repair project. *TJ Evans Trail between Newark and Granville: Thornwood Crossing Bridge project – The TJ Evans bike trail will be CLOSED at the new Thornwood Crossing bridge area, Mon-Fri, 7a-5p, until further notice. *There will be temporary closures intermittently over the next few months at the SR 16 Bridge project location, during working hours (7A-5P; M-F). When: Thursdays, July 7th, 14th, 21st @ 9 -11 AM, Saturday, July 30th @ 9 – 11 AM
July 21st and 30th will focus on Japanese Knotweed at Riverview Reserve.
Invasive plants can take over quickly. Removing them helps support biodiversity in the ecosystem. Volunteers will be shown how to identify invasives and learn best practices for removal using hand tools and herbicide. Tools and gloves will be provided for volunteers. Please wear long pants and close toed shoes. The activity level will be moderate; volunteers will be walking, bending down, and using hand tools.
