Licking Park District’s Open Board of Commissioners Position Has Been Filled

GRANVILLE, OHIO (November 11, 2019) The Licking Park District (LPD) is pleased to announce that the open Board of Commissioners position has been filled. Brenda Sams was sworn in as a board member to the LPD Board of Commissioners’ seat on November 1, 2019. She retired from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), Division of Watercraft, in 2011 after 29 years of service. Brenda has extensive experience in training and public service. She developed and managed multiple field offices for ODNR Watercraft. Her last assignment was as the Regional Manager Central Region, where she was headquartered at Alum Creek.

Brenda has volunteered with the Park District for the last two years and was recognized as Licking Park District’s Volunteer of the Month in September 2019. Her love of watersports prompted her to begin her volunteer service for the Park District where she has volunteered for programs, special events, and conservation stewardship. Brenda lives in the Pataskala area and is looking forward to using her experience to make Licking Park District an even better destination for all.
