**The Panhandle Trail (Dayton Rd to Felumlee Rd) will be CLOSED on MONDAY April 22 for herbicide spraying. **TJE Trail east of Granville between the cemetery and Rotary Bridge/Raccoon Valley Park due to bank slip; **There will be periodic closures April 22-26, dawn to dusk, on the TJ Evans Bike Trail from Concord Rd (Johnstown) to the cemetery area in Granville east of Main St for hazardous tree removal. Trails at Taft Reserve, Infirmary Mound Park and Lobdell Reserve are CLOSED to HORSES due to conditions unsuitable for equine traffic. Bike Trails: TJ Evans Trail between Newark and Granville: The TJ Evans bike trail will be CLOSED at the new Thornwood Crossing bridge area, Mon-Fri, 7a-5p, until further notice. There will be other, temporary closures intermittently over the following few months, during working hours (7A-5P; M-F). Join us on Saturday, August 13, 2022, as we celebrate Licking County Trails, National Farmers’ Market Week, and active living! This trail event will highlight the Mastodon Preserve at the TJ Evans Trailhead in Johnstown, the Eagle’s Nest adjacent to the trail segment southeast of Alexandria, and the Granville Farmers Market at Raccoon Valley Park. The trail can be accessed at many locations along the stretch between Johnstown and Granville, but we encourage any ambitious cyclists to ride the entire 14 mile segment! Restrooms will be available at Johnstown, and Wildwood and Raccoon Valley Parks in Granville, with water fountains additionally available at Wildwood Park.
