Notice: Bike Trail: 1) Tree trimming in Granville between Palmer Lane and Moots Run Rd. This project should be completed by end of day on Wednesday, February 8. 2) Intermittent closures for tree removal project on the TJ Evans Bike Trail just west of the Reddington Rd tunnel. 3) TJ Evans trail is closed at W Church Street until at lease end of January 2023 for dam work project. When: Thursdays, July 7th, 14th, 21st @ 9 -11 AM, Saturday, July 30th @ 9 – 11 AM
July 7th and 14th will focus on Japanese Knotweed at Riverview Preserve.
Invasive plants can take over quickly. Removing them helps support biodiversity in the ecosystem. Volunteers will be shown how to identify invasives and learn best practices for removal using hand tools and herbicide. Tools and gloves will be provided for volunteers. Please wear long pants and close toed shoes. The activity level will be moderate; volunteers will be walking, bending down, and using hand tools.
