Ecoprinting Workshop II – Infinity Scarves

October 20, 2018 @ 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

This workshop will explore the process of eco-printing. The goal is to extract colors from leaves and other natural materials through contact printing. The printing process creates a permanent transfer of pigment from the plant material to the fiber.  You will have the opportunity to create an amazing piece of wearable art. The fall leaves on the grounds of Infirmary Mound will provide inspiration and plant material to create your infinity scarf. We’ll be using is custom jersey knit fabric made from a 90% merino wool 10% silk blend. It feels like your favorite t-shirt and is washable.

Join us for the day and see what rewards nature has to offer.

The class is suitable for beginners as well as those with some experience.
