Bike Paths and Trails in Licking County | Licking Park District

Trails on Disc Golf side of Lobdell Reserve will be closed to horses Sat Aug 19 and re-open Sun at 8:30am. Trails at Taft Reserve will be closed to horses on Sat Aug 19 until 12 noon.Trails at Infirmary Mound Park & Ohio Canal Greenway will remain open to horses and all other users during the Lobdell and Taft closure.

There are over 40 miles of paved, multi-use trails throughout Licking County, including:

  • TJ Evans Trail – travels from Johnstown, through Alexandria and Granville, and into Newark
  • Panhandle Trail – travels east from Newark, past Hanover and the Virtues Golf Club, to eastern Licking County
  • Buckeye Scenic Trail – travels through Heath, past Irving Wick Drive, south to Rt 40/National Road at Lakewood Schools
  • Ohio Canal Greenway – travels along the former canal tow path, starting at Canal Park in Hebron to Rt. 79 (not paved)

Many of these trails in Newark and Heath have spur trails that travel to places like the OSU-Newark Campus and Everett Park.
