Bike Paths and Trails in Licking County | Licking Park District

Trails at Infirmary Mound Park , Lobdell Reserve, Taft Reserve & the Ohio Canal Greenway are open to horses and all other users.

There are over 40 miles of paved, multi-use trails throughout Licking County, including:

  • TJ Evans Trail – travels from Johnstown, through Alexandria and Granville, and into Newark
  • Panhandle Trail – travels east from Newark, past Hanover and the Virtues Golf Club, to eastern Licking County
  • Buckeye Scenic Trail – travels through Heath, past Irving Wick Drive, south to Rt 40/National Road at Lakewood Schools
  • Ohio Canal Greenway – travels along the former canal tow path, starting at Canal Park in Hebron to Rt. 79 (not paved)

Many of these trails in Newark and Heath have spur trails that travel to places like the OSU-Newark Campus and Everett Park.
