Drumming Is More Than Just Hands On! Come Join The Unique Experience Of A RhythmProv! Drum Circle Workshop - Licking Park District

Trails at Infirmary Mound Park and Taft Reserve are open to horses. Trails at Lobdell Reserve continue to be CLOSED to HORSES.

Simply, a drum circle is any group of people playing hand-drums and percussion in a circle. In actuality, it’s much more! Licking Park District is thrilled to host Toni Kellar, a professional drum circle facilitator, Sunday November 4th, 1—5 pm at the James Bradley Senior Center, Infirmary Mound Park, Rt. 37, Granville, OH where she will present her workshop Exploration of Rhythmic Discovery and Improvisation!

Participants will: tap into their body’s intelligence and discover their innate ability to play rhythm – from simple beats to complx polyrhythms; understand the relationship between elemental energy and the quality of sound in playing a drum; experience how to create improvisational rhythms in a group drum circle format; and develop practices that will strengthen their rhythmic learning. “It makes me happy. I feel relaxed and stress melts away,” says Tami McAdams, drummer and LPD Operations Administrator. “I can drum for a little bit and be renewed in perspective and mood.”

Toni Kellar is the founder and director of Roots To Rhythm® and Newsight Life. Kellar provides coaching and training programs for personal and group development using her empowering approach of Outcome From Within! She has been a professional drum circle facilitator for more than 20 years.

Beginner friendly! No prior drumming experience is necessary to participate! Drums and percussion instruments are provided or you can bring your own. Pre-registration and a pre-payment of $30 are required. For more information and to register please click here.
