Calling All Dogs!

Hello,

Rich Campitelli here. The Licking Park District is inviting all dogs and their humans to an exciting event. On Sunday October 21st it’s Howl-o-ween at the dog park from 1–3pm. This will be a  family friendly and fun packed event. Please spread the word to all the dogs and their humans in Licking County!

Come participate in the Howl-o-ween dog parade, costume contest, fall games and crafts, a dog hike, a doggie scavenger hunt, and more! Join the festivities at Infirmary Mound Park on Rt 37, south of Granville at the dog park. Polite, leashed dogs are welcome.

Dogs and owners, get your costumes ready for the costume contest! Guest judges will decide the winners: Most Humorous, Most Original, Best Large Dog, Best Small Dog, and Best Dog & Owner Combo. Costume contestants can pre-register for not more than two categories through our website prior to the event.

Bring your family and friends, this is a community event for all to enjoy. Spectators are encouraged to bring chairs and sit along the parade route. The Licking County Humane Society and the Licking County Dog Shelter will join us, bringing adoptable dogs with them. Newark Veterinary Hospital will be on hand to offer nail trimming, microchipping, and information. Wild Things Hot Dog Cart will have yummy food! There will be vendors, a bounce house for kids, treats for the whole family, and plenty of time for dogs to play in the fenced dog park!

Infirmary Mound Park offers 4 acres of fenced, off-leash dog park for your dogs. The dog park is divided into small and large dog areas. It is a great area for dogs and owners who like to socialize. Dogs on-leash are welcome in the LPD parks. It is requested that owners clean up after their dogs, bags are provided.
